News Update

Good morning, everyone.

COMMUNICATION VIA CLASS DOJO
Communication is so important to us all here at Southwark. We want to keep everyone informed of the exciting things happening at school and ensure that we are giving parents/carers the information you need.

Class Dojo is the best way for us to do this. Therefore, we do ask that you check your Dojo account each day if possible and scroll down the 'story' section to keep updated with the latest news.

Please make sure you have enabled notifications on your device so you are alerted to a message or school story update. More information about how to enable this is available here:

CLASS DOJO PLUS
Some of you have been asking about ClassDojo Plus. We don't advise that you to sign up as there is a charge involved. We don't use any of the functions it offers. Essentially it allows you to use Dojo at home yourself with your children as a reward scheme. Again, there is no need to do this from school's perspective. Please be careful if your child has access to your Dojo device as it is very easy to sign up.

General information regarding Class Dojo can be found here:

PLEASE CHECK DOJO REGULARLY
It is such an important part of how we communicate as a school so please make sure that you are able to access it regularly. If you do not have access to the internet, please come and speak to us so we can find the best way to keep you informed about school information.

PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE
We do ask that you are considerate whilst using the messaging function of Dojo. This means that we do expect parents/carers to be respectful in messages. Staff are not expected to respond to messages over night so please don't expect responses outside of school hours. Please note that the first port of call for communication is your child's class teacher. Following this, you can contact your child's Hub AHT. If you feel that you need to communicate with me directly, the best way to do this is by emailing admin@southwarkprimary.net. If you have a safeguarding concern, you can email admin@southwarkprimary.net, call the school office and ask to speak with Mrs Wattam or use the SPEAK OUT button on our school website.

Please also remember to visit our school website where you can find lots of the information you need.

However, Dojo is our main way of communicating school news.

Thank you.

Mr Skirton
