Admission Arrangements:

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website - we'd love to have the opportunity to speak with you about your child joining our Southwark family!  Please read the information below.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the school office who will be able to provide you with more information.

We are holding a consultation for the 2025 - 2026 Admission Arrangements.  Our consultation period will run from Monday 20th Nov 2023 - Monday 8th Jan 2024.

Do you want a Nursery place for your child?

Apply for a Nursery place at the office. Please bring your child’s birth certificate (full one if possible) for us to photocopy. Your child will then be added to the waiting list. Places can be allocated from their 3rd birthday depending on availability. Part time (15 hours) and full time places are available. Full time (30 hours) can be used with the government funding or you can also 'top up' by paying for the additional 15 hours yourself.  For more information, please call the school office who will be happy to help you.

Do you want a Reception place for your child?

These are co ordinated through Nottingham City Council but if your child is already at our Nursery you will be sent information on how to apply ready for admission to school. If your child is not already at our Nursery, you will have to apply on line at www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/admissions

Is your child due to start school in September 2024? (This will mean your child was born between 01/09/2019 to 31/08/2020).

If so, we are delighted to offer you the chance to come and have a tour of our Reception unit and the rest of the school. This is an opportunity for you to look around the environment and ask a member of the Leadership team any questions you may have and find out about life at Southwark.

We are offering tours on the following dates/ times.

18/10/2023 - 3.30pm

13/11/2023 - 9.30am and 3.30pm

05/12/2023 - 9.30 and 3.30pm

KEY DATES TO BE AWARE OF

Early November: Applications for Reception places open on Nottingham City Council website.

Monday 15th January 2024: Deadline for submission of the application via Nottingham City council.

Tuesday 16th April 2024: National Offer Day. Local Authorities will notify families of the offer of a school place.

Is your child moving school mid-year?

If you  want to move from your child’s present school, please complete the application form online at www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/schooladmissions

Once the application is registered, places will be looked at and offers will be made. If the year group you need is full, your child will be put on the waiting list for the next available place. (Please refer to the admission policy for how the waiting list works).

The school follows the Local Authority Admission Arrangements and these are reviewed annually. Places at the school are in demand in most year groups and proof of residence in the catchment area may be requested in order for admission to be granted.
