Change in Self-Isolation Guidance

Good morning, everyone. I hope you have had a relaxed start to the Christmas break.

I’m sure you are already aware but there has been a change to the self isolation guidance for those testing positive for Covid-19.

You may be able to end your self-isolation period before the end of the 10 full days.

You can take an LFD test on day 6 of your isolation period, and another LFD test on day 7. The second LFD test should be taken at least 24 hours later. If both these test results are negative, and you do not have a high temperature, you may end your self-isolation after the second negative test result.

There are some guidelines for the following 3 days if you meet the criteria above and you are able to end your isolation after 7 days and not the full 10. Please read the following link carefully for the full government guidance:

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-stay-at-home-guidance/stay-at-home-guidance-for-households-with-possible-coronavirus-covid-19-infection

Although we have been informed that there won’t be any further Covid-19 measures in place before Christmas, it is likely that this might change before we return to school in the New Year. Therefore, please keep checking Dojo as I will be posting any updates which affect us as a school.

Merry Christmas to you all!

Mr Skirton
